Modified forms/reports

I have a user who for the last 5+ yrs has had a modified form set for certain windows like vendor maintenance and vendor address maintenance due to a separation of duties request from auditors. This allows her to update certain things on a vendor card but not others like banking information. Our support vendor had configured this years ago and it worked fine until this week when the fields she was able to see (not edit) are now blacked out. The only fields doing this were the fields modified by our vendors years ago. Other users with default forms don't have the issue. She is the only one that uses these modified forms and nothing has changed on her pc that I can tell. To be clear, the issue is that the modified forms for this specific user allowed her to view the greyed out fields text but not edit them. Now they are black and the text cannot be seen.

Her dynamics.set file is identical to how it has always been and still references the server location where the forms.dic still resides and is accessible. This file hasn't been modified recently either. I've been unsuccessful at finding any audit activity that would show these type of security changes and I'm one of 2 people that would be able to make security changes. I had her login from another machine and it was the same problem.

I'm at a loss as to how this happened and don't know what to do other than to try and use modifier to see if I can get it back to the way it was.

If the fields are blacked out, it could be that the field background itself changed. I would definitely use Modifier to check. I can't however tell you what caused that to change other than, well, someone modified the fields accidentally - hoping of course, it was accidental

    Hi,

If you have package file backup, then re-import the package file. Before re-importing make sure you delete the old vba file.

Note: Make sure you take a backup of the current GP folders.
