Dear All,
We are checking the compatibility of GP &
RMS with server 2008 & SQL 2008, because Microsoft has mentioned
clearly some features are not supported with Server 2008.
-
Reference to the documents or “GP 10 Requirements”, I have noticed
Microsoft has listed some GP product features are NOT supported on
Windows Server 2008, see list below.
- Regarding “RMS
Requirements” documents it does not confirm the compatibility with Win
Srvr 2008 or SQL Srvr 2008, even on their website
http://www.microsoft.com/dynamics/rms/product/systemrequirements.mspx
Our Environment is:
- Windows Server 2008 Std 32 bit
- SQL Server 2008 Std 32 bit
Does
anyone believe & confirm that it will work perfectly with our
environment & will not have any limitation or connectivity problem
with this environment.
Pls. review the following table to verify that the features and products you're using are supported on Windows Server 2008.

I have the same question (0)The differentiation between "supported" and "certified" and be a little messy. In general I use the following:
Certified = full set of testing has been run and defects have been distributed via service packs/updates, etc.
Supported = full testing has not been run and/or code updates have yet to be released but the issues are fairly well understood and workarounds exist or will be researched to ensure the customer can effectively use the product.
I can speak to Forecaster and tell you that the 6.7 version is not certified or supported on SQL Server/Windows Server 2008... Hopefully nobody is actually selling/implementing that version these days as 7.0 is much better and I believe isn't even supported at this point.
The 7.0 product is certified on SQL Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008/IIS 7.0 for both 32 and 64-bit. That being said, I'm not sure what the story on the FRx 6.7 integration is for that platform but you can use file imports/exports as a workaround. When doing your first implementation on some of these new OS/DBs it's probably a good idea to call your support rep just to be sure you get a good overview for potential gotchas/workarounds.
