TMS/WMS inbound and outbound shipment in one load

Hi All,

I have a business case where my client is paying for a shipping carrier one price like 1000$ for route:

warehouse-> customer (Sales order)->vendor(Purchase order)->warehouse

I was planning to use some load report to send transport order to carriers and to use a new feature "assign shipments to related route segments for splitting costs". If anybody makes some customization to putting together both directions shipments into one load? This new feature looks it can nice split cost per shipment without any work when we put cost per segments. I am thinking about some complication between confirming shipments in WMS and receiving some shipments. Maybe somebode have same issue and make some workaround? Like making one big load with attaching two loads (outbound and inbound) from standard and then splitting cost on both of them.

    I have played around with this new "assign shipments to related route segments" feature a bit here https://youtu.be/9EbGhOcRg90 and tried to build loads that contain both PO and SO. Unfortunately, that is currently not possible with standard solution and would require a mod.

    Of course I watch your video about that new feature. Could you explain little bit more about customisation one big load with load with PO and oad with SO? Do you avoid the problem with closing shipments/loads?

    That will be an important thing: to separate ship confirmation from packing slip/product receipt posting so when you do one another one doesn't happen automatically. I would build a mod to have just one load and route with mix of SO, PO and TO lines as needed.

    Thanks Oleksiy for quick response. I hope microsoft in feature will added load type "both way". For now I will probably make customization to resolve my problem. Thanks a lot.
