Customer Service Workspace Inbox View showing 3 months records only

Hi All,
we are using CSW Inbox Feature. Inbox by design shows 500 records as maximum number of records to display. However in my scenario there is a Inbox View created which should display 500 records but shows only 17 records. 
 
my troubleshooting says inbox shows today - 3 months old historical records. Is this understanding correct? And any MS Learn Article available for reference.
