Customer Price Margin

Posted on by 85

Hi All,

Is there a way in BC to create a price=cost+profit sales price method as you do in the item card?

In the Item card you are able to create a unit price using the costing method of price=cost+profit,  this allows for a standard margin calculation for all items, but if I have customer that I make 30%, 20% or even 50% margin on, other than setting up price groups or price list I cannot see a way of just setting a sales price method up of price=cost+profit with the relevant margin.  This would make things so much easier.

Unless I am missing something, can this be done?

    RE: Customer Price Margin

    Hello,

Customer Sale Pricing revolves more around discounts, quantity breaks, fixed pricing with Start and End Dates. Margin based pricing, where by you examine Cost and want to make x% margin, is not available. You could create a customization, but I would think Excel is faster and then you setup a Sales Price for the Customer/Item.

    Thanks,

    Steve
