Integration Manager error

i'm getting the following message when trying to run integration manager into the payroll module. I am able to run other payroll integrations, but when using a specific file, i get the following message. i've tried recreating the integration file, copying the data into a working file, but keep getting "relationship" issues. Any solutions to try are greatly appreciated.

    Hi Meredith

At a quick look at this error message, it appears that you have multiple files for the import and no relationship is set between the files.

If you look below the Sources section in Integration Manager you will see Query Relationships

Double click to open that and you can then map a relationship between your files.

Yes, but i can't get the columns to pull in from the transaction file. Because of that, i can't link the relationship. I even tried to use the same file for the header and the transactions. it pulls in for the header, but not for the transactions.

    Hi Meredith

What type of source file are you using?  Is it a Text, CSV, or excel file that you are connecting with an ODBC driver?

If you look at your source files in the integration, right click on one of the source files and select Properties.

If a Text or CSV file make sure that you are mapped to the location of the file. Click on Columns.  Do you see anything here?

You may want to do a Column Refresh.

    Close the property window

Right Click again and then select Preview.

    Does any data get returned?

If yes, do the same for the next file.

Then go into the Query Relationship window

    Hi Meredith,

Please verify if you have a relationship setup between the two files.  Open the integration & click on Query Relationships

Do you have any links between the two files?

Once there is a relationship setup, verify that all the Mapping is setup too.

I'm using a csv file. the same one i've used in past years and had no issues with. the problem i'm having is that the columns are not coming through from the file. so for the header file, I will have the column, but in the transaction file, the columns are not pulling in for some reason. Thus, i cannot map them.

    Meredith

For your detail file, right click and choose properties.

Click on the sorting tab and make sure that there are no Group by's  selected.

Your group by's should only be in the header file.

Are you running any scripts before the integration for before the query?

Under Sources, double-click on the Transactions file to open the Properties dialog box.  Then click on the Columns tab.  Do you see any columns listed?

Either way, click Refresh Columns, and then Apply & OK.

Once you've done this, right-click on the Transactions source file name and click Preview filename. If you see any data then you should be able to setup the relationship if needed, and then map them as well.

    Let us know.

This worked! Thank you. I wasn't running any scripts.
