SMTP Mail Setup in NAV 2013 - ICEWARP Mail Service

Dear Sir,

I have recently moved to ICEWARP Mail Services and I am setting up details in smtp Setup.

SMTP Server : 

SMTP Port:587

Authentication: Basic

User ID:

Password:

Secure Connection : not Ticked 

Problem: if abc@xyz.com id is set in this screen. he can only send for approval or release. cdf@xyz.com try to send for approval get massage of " The SMTP mail system returned the following error:"Synatax Error in Parameter or arguments.The Server Response was 5.7.1 <cdf@xyz.com> ...Permission denied."

Please guide further

    Hi,

    Please check this link for the remedy for 5.7.1: www.icewarp.com/.../6057.htm

    Check the authentication in email client, it may be different from the sender's authentication type, also the NAV SMTP Authentication.

    set "secure connection" to true.

    the used email addresses in approval scenario have to be icewarp mail addresses, otherwise relaying is needed.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your solutions. Problem Resolve with help of ICEWARP Support Team.  Microsoft NAV  2013 Uses different e-mail Address during indenting,approval or release.

    So Problem Resolve by doing following :

    01. Only Server IP & Port to be configure in NAV SMTP Settings.

    02. Relay opened with help of ICEWARP Support Team.
