One way if costing changes required because of one RM item standarc cost change: On a costing version for standard cost, go to Calculation. Make item filter on the RM- item, make a tick in Where used update. When OK ,then AX will caculate to the top based on where used for all items involved.
No need to go to Designer og per BOM-line do some costing.
Hi,
Yes. Take into account that you might be updating raw materials during 1 or 2 months and you don't neccesarily want to update the prices every time every day and want to do it in one go after you finished the raw materials
Not sure what you mean with "everything else manually". If you change a price within a BOM and run a new calculation the system will calculate the new price based on that change. Within the Cost Version you can also run this for multiple items in one go
Okay, so within the BOM designer if you change a price within it.. you then have to change everthing else manual via a new calculation .. correct?
No, it's not automatic, you need to run a new Calculation which you can do via Costing Version
not really..
as in if you already have a the product in released products. if you change the price in the released product will it automatically change in the bom?
I have had a problem when you chage the price and then you have to edit everything else within it manually . is this the only way ? or is there another?
If you set up an item as standard cost, set the cost and create one or two purchase order transactions at a different price, AX will adjust them to the standard cost. Not sure if this is what you're asking?
