Hello,

Is there a way to change the Default Price List to a new one for all products of a Product Catalog at once?

Thank you.

Javier.

Sorry Javier - have just tested what I previously said about workflows... and found it to be incorrect (Aileen is spot on).

You should be able to export to import, update the field and then reimport the records.  The equivalent items would need to already exist as a price list item.

You can't create a simple workflow (run on demand) that updates a value of a field on a record (due to it being locked by Microsoft).

You can't do a bulk edit of that field (due to it being a bit special).

    Javier,

    No.. But got workaround.

    But need to remember..

You cannot change the Default Price List if the Product doesn't have that Price List Item.

Let's say you have 100 Products, now with different default Price List.

Then you want to set Price List 'Christmas Promotion' as the Default Price List for those 100.

You need to make sure that those 100 Products are also already defined in the Price List Item before you can make those using same Price List.

For this, I think you can use either workflow or custom app.

But, not using OOB and you need to make sure that you set those product in price list item properly.

Because this field is kind of special field that obtained by Price List Item.

    Hi Javier,

This is certainly possible with the help of SSIS tools such as Kingswaysoft or taskfactory. All you have to do is to update the entity Products and you can map the filed named as "pricelevelid" with your updated default price list.

Note: Performing above solution will not erase any data from anywhere, it will simply update it. Using out of box data import solution, you would not be able to update any entry in Dynamics CRM. Out of box data import is only useful to create the data not to update or upsert it.

Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns.

    Thanks

    Jay
