How to determine the CRM pack(s) installed

Posted on by

Hi,

How can I programatically determine what CRM apps (not sure if this is the correct term), for example:

- Sales

- Customer Service

- Field Service

- Retail

- Finance and Operations

Also, I'll need to check if entities like "Opportunity" or "Incident (Case)" are available using whichever APIs available.

Thanks in advance,

Rodrigo

    Hi Syed,

I can do this for my Org, but I wanted to check if there's an API which I can use to check that.

I will mark your initial response as the "Suggested Answer" - thanks.

You can check by clicking Top Navigation you can see the list of apps installed on this instance.

Hope this resolve your query. Mark it as verified if suggestion answered your query

Thanks, Aric - I was wondering if I can get a list of the installed apps (I've attached an image of the apps to this question now) programatically, perhaps using the Web API.

    Thanks for your message, Syed.

I've been using the Web API for some time now but I didn't know about the call that shows all entities in the instance. Your suggestion might be the only option to solve my issue, but I wanted to double check that there isn't a Web API that I can check which app (see the image below) has been installed.

If you click on the little arrow next to the Dynamics 365 logo, it will show you a list of your favorite apps. The top item on the list should be My Apps.

If you click on that it will show you a list of all the apps that are installed in your tenant, and you can click on any individual app to navigate to it.

I think Syed answered the second part of the question.

    Hope this helps.

yourorg.api.crm5.dynamics.com/.../v9.0 will list all the entities present in the instance. You can then check your entities present in this.

If you want to retrieve some data then call the web api get method to retrieve. Follow
