Has anyone ever run into a scenario where the Edit transaction information window is not updating any of the fields it is supposed to allow you to update? I have tried to update the PO number of several customers in test adding a PO, changing a PO and nothing happens. This window is supposed to edit the allowed fields of a posted transactions correct? BTW this is not a payment I am trying to edit the PO on.

I have played with Edit Receivables Transactions window. The PO number field won't update for the SOP documents. It was only update to the Receivables Transactions(Receivable Invoices, Finance Charges, Debit Memo, Service/Repairs, Credit Memo, Warranty and Returns).
Because this not a Edit Sale Transaction Window. It's Edit Receivable Transaction Window(Transactions-->Sales--> Edit Transactions Information). Have a look on the window title. So, no option for edit the PO number for posted SOP documents.

Yes these are transactions coming from SOP. If it does not update the transaction what does it update? If I reprint an INV it still has the old PO number.
Are these transactions coming from SOP that you are trying to update? If that is the case, the PO Number is not going to push back to the SOP transaction.
I am referring to the Sales Edit Transaction Window and I can get to it fine. It is just that when I save the update it does not update for adding a PO or changing a PO. I think something may be wrong but I am trying to confirm.
At this point since everyone else is able to go to that window and you can't. What version of GP are you on and do you have any customizations running on this machine that could be effecting this window. Take a look at your Administration>> alternate modified windows and made sure this hasn't been customized and get back some information for us in case this is a bug?

Edit Transaction Information window is not related to period. You can edit the some above mentioned information for all the posted Payables Transactions.
For your reference, I have updated the PO number from "12345" to "54321" for one of my test invoice as below.

Yes I am aware but the PO addition and change does not seem to be working and I was not sure if I was missing something. Does it only work for transactions in the current period?

I guess by using this window, we can edit the following fields:
* Discount Date
* Due Date
* P.O. Number (note: this does not link to Purchase Order Processing. It only lists the PO as a reference number)
* Description (You can add to or completely overwrite the original description.)
Note: You cannot change the Invoice Amount, Vendor ID, Document Date or Distributions. If these are wrong, you will need to Void and re-enter the transaction.
After you save the changes, all inquiries and reports will reflect the new information:
