GP Payroll - Negative income

Hi,

I need to make an adjustment of an overpayment to the bonus income paycode, but the current payroll run does not have any income to offset the "claw back". How can I enter the paycode with a negative value in GP?

    Thanks Sandip for your reply, but unfortunately I'm not trying to pay an employee for a difference that we owe. Say we over paid someone by $100 in earnings code OT. How was we deduct the $100 of OT on the next payroll (like a negative earning) when there is no OT to offset in the same batch.

    Why don't you enter payroll deduction for over paid OT hours, You need to work on your tax also while making deduction.

    If this happens often Integrity Data has a program called Negative Transaction Entry for payroll that will let you put in positive hours for ST and a negative entry for OT and the program will wash the OT against the ST and everything will be fixed.

    Can you elaborate on ST? I'm fairly new to the payroll module.

    ST = Straight Time (Hourly)

    OT = Overtime
