Hi, as several experts above mentioned, this is Local Currency set in General Ledger Setup.

In addition, for BC, as long as the currency is empty, it is the local currency. For example on a sales order.

And if you want to manage item prices in multiple currencies, you need to use price features.

    PS: New sales pricing experience

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

All the price fields you see on the Item card is in local currency. If you want to know what the local currency is you can look that up in the company information using this api :docs.microsoft.com/.../dynamics_companyinformation

There is a field for currencyCode

The system can have lots of price lists both sales prices and purchase prices. Those can be in different currencies. There is no standard API for the prices lists so if you want to use them you will have to create custom API's for that purpose.

    Hi

I do not know about API but currency in item card is always LCY (Local Currency Value). This defines in General Ledger Setup.

To get currency for environment you can see this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/api-reference/v2.0/api/dynamics_currency_get

Note: companies can define different Unit Price currency for item but that is under Action -> Sales price -> Sales price and they must define the currency there (blank means LCY)
