Hello everybody,
My stores are set to connect once per hour. At that time, it processes the worksheet 401, and a new 401 is created automatically to run one hour later.
Basic scheduling of connection made by rms.
But once in a while, for one store only, it goes bad.
The DB connects ok, there is no time difference between HQ and store.
Then, the log shows a "error 3704 user does not have the permission when object is closed"
on the next line "an error occured while processing worksheet 0 at HQ"
I never heard of worksheet 0. The worksheet 401 that failed does not create another 401 automatically and the communication process is thus disrputed.
Does anyone here have a fix for that? Do you know what I can do, or what I can check?
Sincerely,

Are you sure your internet is not failing? It can glitch for a second and you might not realise it.
We routinely put vpn's in place with static ip's and that seems to shore thing up quite a bit.

Hi Jeff,
The SQL protocols were in the right order, only the ones for native server client were in different order. You mean I have to correct these?
I'll check the power management for Network card then.
Thanks for your follow up.
You mentioned the protocols were in different order, did you change them?
Make sure that the Network card power management is turned off.
Make sure that the user has full rights to all folders on the machine, its probably a temp folder issue,
Dear Jeff,
Thanks for your follow up.
It has gone better than it was, bu every 2 weeks or so, another error 3704 is appearing.
I reindexed and checked the DB when the problems appeared a lot, kind of 2 months ago) and it went better than it was. (I used to have once a week an error 3704, then errors 91 and 3002, the 91 and 3002 disappeared)
What I did until now :
- Reindex and Check of DB
- Delete all temporary files
- check the SQL protocols
- check the windows logs (found an error domain that happened a lot and thought it was that but it did not go better after correcting this one)
- checked the internet connection (the connection is a little bit slower at that shop, ping is 55ms) and made the time out error settings longer
But it is still happening once in a while.
Mik
Mikael,
Did you get this fixed?
Also you might try to re-index and run a database check on both ends.
Mabuhay!
We have also encountered that error, that I even check all the setting on the pipes that I forgot to manually add the headquarters server on firewall settings. After adding the program it connects now.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi Jeff,
thanks for your answer.
I checked and found a domain error on the windows logs last day, and made it clean so I thought the problem came from that.
But yesterday, another 3704 error.
So I checked the SQL protocols like you said.
The server Native client configuration is 1 TCP/IP and 2 Named Pipes but the SQL protocols are 1 named pipes and 2 TCP/IP so it should be good.
I really do not understand this problem. All the other shops are doing fine, only this one has this random problem. I'll try another time, far from the other stores, fr it to connect to see if it changes anything.
If you have another idea, I am open to any suggestion.
Check your SQL protocols, make sure Named Pipes is first and TCP/IP is second.
