Hi All,

I have a look up field called "competitors" in my company entitiy, i want to know the time stamp of when this field was last edited. I currently dont have any custom fields that store the modifed date for competitors.

is it possible to retrieve this information?

Thanks.

    Hi J_C,

You can follow one of the below solutions

    1. Enable audit history for this entity and field, and check the history of this field changes.

    2. Create a separate Date Time field to capture Competitor field modified date. Then register a plug-in on update of Competitor field to set this Date Time field.

Hi, OOB field "modifiedon" has that info.

    Hi Charan,

Both solutions work for tracking mod_date moving forward. However, i need to find the previous mod_date. unfortunately, i didn't have auditing turned on.

is there a way to do this?

Unfortunately we cannot track if the audit history was not enabled.

    Hi J_C,

I agree with Charan. Best approach would be have audit enabled and this will track all the future changes for the desired field.

If Audit is not an option, maybe you could also test the following:

Create an additional field on this form like 'previous modified on'-> Create a sync workflow that triggers before the original 'modifiedon' field changes so the wf could update the additional field .

    Thanks,
