Reg: Non-pickable locations from reserving to sales orders

Hi Team,

Can any one provide the solution for the below requirement

Problem Statement:
  • As a business stock that have a stock status of “Available” are able to reserve to open sales orders and are available for my team to load plan
  • These stocks for Coventry are often located in “Non Pickable Locations.”
  • What happens is that the warehouse reduces loads we submit to them to work on
  • Load reductions have amounted to nearly 20% of the work we have planned into Coventry at times – nearly 1 in every 5 pieces!
  • Examples of non-pickable locations are any of the sample’s locations, or the Rec01 location where the warehouse are in the midst of receiving inbound containers.

Requirement:
This in my opinion needs tackling in one of two ways:
  1. Non pickable locations are excluded from the business physical inventory.
  2. Non pickable location stocks are to be excluded off the LPWB so my team are not able plan these sales order lines.

  • Neither are conducive to the Samples Process and that would need to be taken into account for this.
  • Would also require a business report to highlight what Sales Orders are affected by non-pickable locations – this would be something the Warehouse should use and be measured on.
Impacts:
  • Ensure a better fulfilment rate within Coventry.
  • Give the DC data on non-pickable locations and the impact it’s having on customer orders.
Prevents inefficiencies of the warehouse reducing loads / sending loads out below MFQ and my team regularly replanning loads again and again.

Option 2 in the requirement was recommended do we have any standard set up done in the system or there required customization for this requirement.

Thanks in Advance
Naveen
