Hi

Does anyone has an experience to use BC for house builder company? If yes which modules you are using? What are shortcoming here? What ISV you are using?

Any tips, advice will be greatly appreciate it.

    Hi,

If user want to track house construction process then best to use jobs module as per requirement you have to made customization. As in job s module you can track stages of construction. even if required with small customization you attach service with Purchase contract. like job work for some stage of construction.

Hi, I feel that this is very similar to Project management, so I recommend the Job module.
If it is after-sales, you may also need to use the Service module.
If these are fixed assets, the FA module needs to be used.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

There are some ISV solutions for this.

We have our own where i work at DXC

You can read more about it here. It adds functionality to the jobs and service module. And can be used amongst other things for building projects.

    appsource.microsoft.com/.../PUBID.dxc|AID.dxc_fmci|PAPPID.d67165d4-3a51-4e0c-861f-aa508093aa2a

The shortcoming in the standard product is that you often in these cases have several customers that you want to invoice and you have different additions that will be added for different sub projects in your complete construction.
