Performance testing tool

Hi, 

Our Project requires a Performance Test tool to run load tests on a Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2014 . The Application runs on a windows desktop client and uses TCP for Client – Server communication. There is no webclient version available.

 We are facing a challenge in identifying the right tool as all the available tools we have explored so far require http based web client for recording. Can you suggest a suitable performance testing tool that suits the above description. Thank you!

    NAV 2014 does not exists. Versions are NAV 2013, 2013 R2, 2015, 2016, 2017.

    There is no performance test toolkit out-of-the-box for these versions.

    If you ugrade to the latest and greates Business Central 17.x you have a performance tool out-of-the-box

    Worth noticing that currently all versions prior to NAV 2016 are out of mainstream support from Microsoft and an upgrade in this case is warmly reccomended

    If you need to start with some performance testing on your Dynamics NAV solution, I would first suggest you to move for an upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. It will not only help you get the required support but will bring you a thorough support on testing and implementation from the Microsoft team itself.  

    However, if you need to stick with Dynamics NAV, consider taking a toll on Rapise, a tool that comes with test recording benefits. Consider the link to learn more.
