Getting this error when deleting a transaction entry(s) on a customized module. Any ideas?

Communication Error

Your Microsoft Dynamics AX session is no longer valid.

Log off your computer and log on again. If the problem persists, contact your Microsoft Dynamics AX Administrator.

Of course the user logged out, same error; and I was able to replicate the same issue as an Admin on the AOS server itself.

Clearing usage files and deleting .auc files didn't work as well.

Thank you in advanced!

    Hi ZelAdmin ,

Have you checked the event viewer to see if there are detailed error messages at crash time?

    Best Regards

Did you check if the AOS service or your AX client is crashing? What event logs you get at backend?

    Provide more details.

Seems to be a Kernel crash; we have similary issue during update of a record of big dimension (> 10 MB). We have engaged Microsoft support.

An alternative solution it could be to execute the delete (or update) outside the AX Kernel, with SqlClient .Net classes. Here you can find example of usage of .Net SqlClient class interoperability :  https://mohsinkhalid.com/2015/07/10/connecting-to-an-external-database-from-ax-2012-using-sqlclient-classes/

How much data is being deleted?

If there are a lot of transactions/lines then there could be problems with SQL temp database size, or Transaction log size, or record locks or.... (try it when no-one else is in the system).

Does it work on your test system?

Check whether your kernel on the client and each OS are the same version.
