Once choosing to print your checks in GP2010 - what is the typical length of time it should take for the Process Checkx box to pop up?
I have a customer saying it takes upto 10 minutes?
Thoughts?
thanks!

First I would like to know what Checks are you talking about, AP, Payroll, etc.
Payroll checks do take longer than AP checks due to several reasons, however with that said 10 minutes does seem like a long time even for payroll.
You should also look at your antivirus settings on the workstation and the server. If you do have antivirus, try disabling it for a run to see if it makes a significant difference. If it does, you should use the suggested exclusions in the Virus Scanner Setup section of the following article:

I'm with Richard, somthing's wrong.
I solved this problem once by moving the reports dictionary to the local workstation instead of a shared drive. The process sped up enormously. Since that worked we didn't look any futher for the real problem.
Kind regards,
Leslie
I would say it would depend on how many checks are about to be written. If you were cutting 100,000 checks it may take that long, otherwise a few seconds usually does it. I just did a check run for 50 vendors and it took 1 second. Sounds more like a SQL connectivity issue. I would check the version of the SQL client being used. Are other potions of GP equally slow?
