Please Help.  Why our MS Dynamics GP 2010 Does Not Accept Arabic Character?  What should we do in order our system works efficiently with arabic language?  We tried to enter data on Customer's Profile with Arabic Name in Sales Order Module.  It's allowing view arabic while typing in.  But after saving the entered customer's record with arabic name and then retrieve it for viewing in the same form, it showing the customer's name ?????????????.....instead of arabic characters. Please reply asap.  Thanks.

You have setup the SQL to use Arabic collation, looks like you setup the SQL to use the default language and the Collation is setup to be Latin.

You will need to change the collation of the SQL and the database.

Thanks Mr. Daoud...I haven't changed the colletion of my SQL Database only in the particular table column of customer's name. The SQL database can store arabic text when entering data directly in SQL on that fields and showing correctly even still in a Latin I just make the column size bigger...I would also try your suggestion for the database side....But I wondered why its not recording when we enter data on customer form of Dynamics GP interface???  Is there other solution aside from changing database arabic collation???? Thanks.

Nothing! Arabic collation is required to handle Arabic characters as characters instead of treating the language as unicode, you might be able to get the data saved properly if you changed the unicode language on your server to Arabic.

You also cannot change the column size at the SQL level! Dynamics GP database should remain untouchable if you need to keep GP works smoothly.

All SQL tables are created in your company database and identically created in DEXTERITY dictionaries, any modifications performed on the tables must be done on the DEXTERITY dictionaries which requires an expert in this field.

Mohammad is correct you don't just change one SQL table or column. The collation is held in many more places which need to be changed. You really should look at getting this done as a service through MS or look for a 3rd party.

Are you try to change non-unicode programs to Arabic instead of English US?

*-you 'll find it in "Control Panel\ Regional and Language\ Administrative",

**-and don't forget to change your Formats "Control Panel\ Regional and Language\ Formats" to Arabic country the same you choose from admin menu

thats for terminal machine, I suppose other machine reading arabic correct with GP
