Creating templates for Data porting in AX2012?

Hi all,

To create a template in ax 2012:

we directly goes to excel and click on Dynamics AX > Design > add Data > tables. from their we add table and required field.

and my question is, Is there any other way to create Template for porting in AX 2012.

    Satya, You can also try using the Data Migration Framework.  I think that it's free to install and download... al;though I like using Excel - community.dynamics.com/.../using-excel-to-import-customers-and-vendors-in-dynamics-ax-2012.aspx

    Atlas is also very efficient to import any kind of data (master data, transactions...) into AX 2012.

    You can find more info here www.atlas4dynamicsax.com , and a large number of predefined templates (easily adaptable) are provided.

    For more complex upload you could use the option “Add-data” instead of “Add table” (Excel add-in): dynamics-ax.blogspot.com/.../ax-2012-excel-add-in-revisited.html

    Or Data Migration framework technet.microsoft.com/.../jj225591.aspx

    Atlas XL also is a good option.
