API intergration with Azure Virtual Machine

Hi. We have a Finance and Operations environment with a custom workflow on Dynamics and we would like to connect it to an Azure Virtual machine using an API.

The Azure Virtual machine is currently running a site for SAGE VIP application called ess.domain.co.za

Basically, we want our Dynamics F&O environment to read data from the SAGE VIP's web application, which is hosted on an Azure Virtual machine, using an API.

The API has been configured on Dynamics, just not sure how configure the Azure Virtual machine to allow that API to read data from it
