I have updated a field data type on the customer table and I forced synchronization.

on creating or updating a customer I get the following message:

after compiling the customer table I got the following message :

    Agree with the 2 replies so far, but if the field is referenced by more objects I would recompile all objects to be sure everything is checked and updated.

    Yes

    Re-Compiling All objects will resolve Issues related to Metadata if there would be any.
