Match Shipments to Invoice Inquiry Zoom - Does equivalent report exist?

ReportReport

I have a received a request to provide a report that essentially includes the same information that is on the Match Shipments to Invoice Inquiry Zoom window. Our plan is to implement matching of purchase receipts to invoices for landed costs and one of our users wants a report that would list the individual landed costs for each item. I do not find such a report in Smartlist or GP canned reports. I am new to GP and tried to create such a report using Report Writer. As best as I can tell Report Writer does not provide a means or interface (like what is used for Smartlist reports or GP canned reports) for users to enter data selection criteria outside of entering constants in the report restriction definition. My understanding is the the tables listed below are used in the Match Shipments to Invoice Inquiry Zoom application. I could an SQL report, but that would require someone from IT to execute it when the user needs it. They need a report that they can execute on their own.

GL00100 –  Distribution Account Master

IV00103 – Item Vendor Master

POP10500 – Purchasing Receipt Line Quantities

POP10310 –  Purchasing Receipt Line

POP30310 – Purchasing Receipt Line History

POP10600 – Purchasing Shipment Invoice Apply

So I have two questions. Does a GP canned report exist that provides the same type of information that exists in Match Shipments to Invoice Inquiry Zoom? Is there a way for users to enter record selection criteria other than entering constants in the report restriction definitions for a custom report that is built with Report Writer?

Thank you.

Do you have SSRS up and running? You could deploy the report there and then users would just run it on their own. I am currently working on a similar script and that is how I will be deploying it.

In addition to Richard's excellent suggestion, another option would be Crystal reports.

Richard and Frank, Thank you for your suggestions. We do have SSRS up and running and we will pursue that tool as a solution.

    Thank you,

    Larry
