Snipping Tool implementation

Hello,

I ahev a question about how to implement an additional feature for Navision 2016. It involves the function "Files":
files.GIF

This is a very helpfull feature. We can drag and drop files. But we would like to add a button above to automatically start any screenshot tool and automatically save it to corresponding directory. Is this in any way possible?

To explain further: A user clicks on a button => snipping tool asks which screen you want to capture => User specifies area on screen => Saves it on the directory in the navision folder.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Best regards,

Samuel

    Hello SamuelDh,

Do some R&D and make first app configure default from app itself what you want .

Many apps are in on internet. try it

    For ref: Visit bellow link

Print & Open any document/App in NAV using DotNet Variables

    SamuelDh ,

i dont think , whether your requirement is possible , because nav dosent have intelligence to select which operation you are opening and according to that select the folder

i think you have to do apart by manually , but not sure

Thanks for the solution. But it answers only half of my question.

Opening snippingtool.exe looks clear to me now. The real challenge is when snipping tool is opened and you want to save your snip. Will the correct folder be selected? Because Navision keepsit folder per item, and it would be a hassle to search the corresponding folder...

    Thanks anyway!

    Hello,

You can write some code in button trigger, and call the screenshot application, so whenever you clicked on button then screenshot application will opened and then you can capture your screens.

See bellow screenshot, and write a function and called this function in your button.
