Javascript file not visible in sources tab so unable to debug in crm 2016

Hi friends,

We have now CRM 2016. I am trying to debug a .js file that is on Campaign form. But I am not able to find it Sources tab when we press F12. Previoulsy on crm 2013 it was easy to debug by going to that file and placing a breakpoint.

Can I know how to debug this in 2016?

Thank you,

Prashant

    Hi Prashant,

You should be able to debug your script easily by putting debugger keyword in your script and then press f12 on your form. I don't see any issue in that.

    Thanks

    Hi Prashant,

Debugging javascript, it is the same for all version in MS CRM. You can do this by press F12 and select the script, add debug point and refresh the page for debugging.

The simplest way is adding debugger to you js file and press F12.

    1. You can find your JavaScript by using “Ctrl+P” command. On browser press F12 then

use command “Ctrl+P” In search section you need to type your JavaScript file name

and press enter. If your JavaScript is loaded successfully then it will be seen in the

          search results.

    2. Another way is you just need to add “debugger;” in the function you called in your

script and then you can able to debug the script by pressing F12.

    Thanks,

    Sam

Although I managed to debug it. I ran into another issue now. Will start a new thread. I will try it myself and if not will post the issue on board.

    Thank you all :)
