Split Fixed Assets

Dear MSFT Finance Community

I have a question around splitting a fixed asset.

If I track capital costs in an asset (CIP account) and want to transfer costs to a new asset using the split functionality can I select which invoice I want to split and get that invoice information to come to the new asset.

Right now when I split the asset all the invoice related information still lives in the original asset - see below.  I am just getting the dollar amount 1100.00.

    Hi Michael,

    You can only split an amount; not individual invoices or part of invoices. If you have this requirement, you have to consider a customization.

    In my opinion, You can't get invoice information copied while splitting asset.
