The "DYNAMICS365" Configuration Package for one of my clients appears to be corrupt.
In order to figure out which fields are truly necessary before doing a major upload of sales headers and sales line items, I am attempting to upload 2 sales headers, with 3 associated line items. I have meticulously deleted all other data from the workbook I downloaded from the "Configuration Packages" page. I added my two sales orders (and line items), imported the spreadsheet back to the Configuration Packages page, and validated it. The package shows "1328 records" with "1328 errors". The errors include text that is something like "Quote Nos. must have a value in Purchases & Payables Setup".
I believe these errors have something to do with a previous attempt to upload purchase orders en masse. I'm also seeing other errors associated with records I am not currently attempting to upload.
Microsofter's. The client is Siege Sports. Can you check the tables on the backend to see whether these are corrupted?
The Configuration Packages are very convenient for uploading G/L entries, but are horribly time-consuming when it comes to uploading purchase orders and sales orders. Is there a better way to do this (perhaps programmatically). I would much rather load P.O. and S.O. data to SQL tables, and write a program to bring the P.O.'s and S.O.'s in through a service.
