Stock Count - Quantity on Hand figure

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Good Afternoon,

I am wondering if anyone could provide any advice with regards to a Quantity on Hand figure on a Stock Count Form that I am running on behalf of a client as I am struggling to understand why it is showing a certain figure.  To explain, the Quantity on Hand as per the Stock Count Form for 1 particular item displays 386.  The item Enquiry screen for the same item displays the following:

On Hand - 914

Allocated - 386

Available - 528

Sold - 5,162

What I am struggling to understand is why the Stock Count Form is displaying the allocated figure, I would have thought it would display the Available being 528.  As it happens the physical stock count for this item is 418 and when I go into Stock Count Entry after creating the schedule and starting the count I am able to enter the quantity as 418 which displays an adjustment of 32, leading to the figure 386 being the allocated figure.

Could anyone offer any advice as to why this would be?

Kind Regards

Kevin Dowson

    Kevin,

    I'm guessing here...

Has the site got Multiple Bins turned on?

Item enquiry is looking at IV00102 where as if they have multibins, I think the stock count might take into account the Bin quantities

Might be worth checking what the  IV00112 table says, could be corruption between the site and bin inventories?

Also run inventory reconcile for the item in question to see what it brings up, might give you a clue whats going on, if it corrections something?

    Tim.
