In Dynamics GP 2015 on the IV_Item_Maintenance window when looking at the window in the Modifier, under the Shipping Weight field there are two fields: Tax Commodity Code and Country of Origin. Both of these fields and the text fields next to them are marked "Visible" on the corresponding Property windows, yet none of them show on the window when the Item card is opened in the application. We don't need the Tax Commodity Code but we do want to record and show the Country of Origin for the items.
Does anyone know if you could enable these two fields without enabling Intrastat ?

Follow these Steps:
1) Add Intrastat from the GP setup media. (Perhaps you already have this installed, but if not, you'll need to add).
2) Enable the Intrastat feature. Tools - Setup - Company - Company. Click Options on the Company card. Look for "Enable Intrastat Tracking".
3) You're done. Go look at the Item Card and you'll now see the 2 fields.
4) You could go further with this and configure Intrastat, but if you don't have an EU address setup in your system, GP will throw an error message stating same. Plus, per your posting, you don't want to enable full Intrastat. So this last step is not necessary if you just wanted access to those 2 fields (TAX COMMODITY CODE and COUNTRY OF ORIGIN on the Item card).
