Best practices for workers and positions

I was curious what recommendations are there for how to manage F&O Workers and Positions. The question boils down to if we keep the Position with the Job and the report to as Worker cycle through due to promotions or exiting the company, and we change the Worker associated with the Position. Or, the Position stays with the Worker, and as their situation changes, we update the Job or delete the Position altogether if they exit.

    I think the best practice for worker and position is- it should be simple, like you can continue with the same position if the current associated employee is leaving or you can end the position when the party  is left.

    Hi Ramit,
    Sounds like you're suggesting both approaches. I don't know if this would help, but we have fairly healthy turnover within the organization. It seems to make more sense to hold the position static while cycling in the worker(s). 
    I would also be interested to understand under what circumstances I would prefer one approach versus the other.
