In D365FO, Project Management and Accounting, is there a way to disable Auto Scheduling on the project WBS as a default instead of the WBS defaulting to auto scheduling enabled? Thanks

Thanks confirming Jonas. When I first looked through the parameters and templates, I was hoping I missed something so posted the question. But, looks like I did not miss anything. Thanks

To answer your question: No, there is no parameter for this. It can also be verified by code
You need to make a customization of the WBS form. I've done it a few times.

For visualization sake, these are the available parameters in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for projects scheduling, in a US legal entity without Project Operations - Stocked deployment.

These are the available fields on a WBS template

Auto Scheduling on WBS Turn Off as Default
Good morning, afternoon, or evening depending on your location!

In D365 Finance & Operations (D365FO), the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) defaults to Auto Scheduling enabled, but you can adjust this setting.
How to Disable Auto Scheduling by Default
    1. Check Project Parameters
      • Navigate to Project Management and Accounting > Setup > Project Management and Accounting Parameters.
      • Look for Scheduling settings and see if there’s an option to disable Auto Scheduling.
    2. Modify WBS Templates
      • If you use WBS templates, ensure that Auto Scheduling is turned off in the template before applying it to new projects.
    3. Adjust Default Calendar Settings
      • Go to Project Management and Accounting > Setup > Scheduling.
      • Modify the default working calendar to prevent automatic scheduling adjustments.
    4. Custom X++ Solution (If Needed)
      • If there’s no built-in setting to disable Auto Scheduling by default, a custom X++ modification may be required to override the default behavior.
