Javascript getwebapi method bring result

I want to know what's the difference b/w result and result.value.length.

when i do getWebApi and collect result. I am getting everything. but with result.value  i am getting error value not define. But my all colleague doing result.value and their code in their JS working fine. wanted to know whats the basic difference b/w 2.

    Hi,

    When you use Xrm.WebApi you should use result only. See below link.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../retrieverecord

    However, when you use XmlHttpRequeust to call web api, syntax to get field from response will be different. See below link.
