How can you tell the actual date of an item master's creation?

Posted on by 95

We need a list of all part numbers created in 2011 but when we look at the created date, it changes if the part was ever modified.

We also looks at the DEX_ROW_ID but since we don't know where the ID was at the end of the year, we can't tell when 2011 started.

We are using 10.0

Any ideas?

Both Created Date and modified date change every time you touch and modify the part number again.

Also, if you copy one part number from another part number, the created date is copied from the original.

Nothing in GP shows a true created data.

    Hello Julie

The Created Date and Modified Date fields are available in IV00101 in GP10 as well. You can use these fields for getting the information which you need.

GP 2010 has both Created Date and Modified Date in IV00101.  Your IV00101 table doesn't have both fields?  I don't have a 10.0 database to look at.
