Hi all,

For instance if there is a dropdown in a form grid and we want that the control should automatically get transferred to the next field as soon as I select a value form the drop down . How this could be done in AX 2012?

Thanks in advance .

    Hi Nishi,

Next question from the user: "I have selected the wrong value. How can I go back to the dropdown field without using my mouse or keyboard?"

Why do you want to change the default behavior of the user interface? The 'TAB' key is used to go to the next field. 'Enter' is the wrong key though.

    Hi andre,

This is a client requirement. Is this possible?

If yes, kindly provide the solution.

I haven't tried this myself, but you can have a look at some form control override methods.

Anyway, I would tell the customer 'No!'. Otherwise you will end up in all kinds of customizations which will make upgrades more cumbersome. Also help the customer by looking at the future...

Yeah ,I understand ..but I still doubt if any field properties could be altered so that the requirement can be fulfilled. Can this be done?

    Hi Nishi,

It is not a property, you have to add x++ coding (if possible).
