Hi,
While create a simple report based on Query, I have 1 or two range that already specified in that query and in the report, it is appeared as parameters in its dialog. There is one property in Dataset named "Dynamics filter" and the default is set to false.
There is a resource (but it is for AX2012 R3) that mentioned we could make this property to True, based on the resource said, it is for dynamics query, so I did turn it to True, but then it makes my existing parameters without any lookup. Need to inform the existing parameter were Vendor Group and Vendor blocked, while it was having a correct lookup, after make the Dynamics filter set to True, the look up are gone.
So what is the use of this Dynamics filter property ?
Thanks,
Hi Lars Volt,
Setting Dynamic filter property to true will allow the user to add the custom range and values, and report will be displayed based on the filters added. You can see on the report parameter dialog where there is a tab named "Records to include" - Its similar to Advance filter/sort on the form.
So I think if its a Query based report and you are making the Dynamic filter to true then the default range you added will be cleared.
Refer to the below Microsoft documentation.
Thanks,
