    The Retail SDK includes code, code samples, templates, and tools that you can use to customize POS.  docs.microsoft.com/.../retail-sdk-overview

    In addition to Ada's answer: Microsoft Dynamics Learning Portal has courses about Retail development with samples and nice explanations regarding architecture.
