Block reservations against a warehouse location

Hello guys,

We have a client that needs to block reservations against a specific warehouse location. For example, warehouse location BBB - LOC21. They want to still allow material movement in and out of the LOC21 location, but they do not want to have any reservations against it.

The client is not using Warehouse Management.

I have found the options of creating a new warehouse or using a quarantine warehouse. Are there any other ways to do this?

I don't think I know of a way to control reservations at the location level, but it is possible to use Inventory status. You can use the "Inventory status change" job.... set it to run in batch every few minutes. Configure it to change the status of all inventory in the BBB - LOC21 location to a different status.
