Default Reports in Dynamics AX 2012 R3

ReportReport

I have installed Ax 2012 R3 on Windows 2012 R2.When i try to deploy default reports through powershell it is giving error 503:Service not available. The command Publish-AXReport –ReportName * while deploying reports stops and starts sql server reporting services but i believe before service starts it gives an error.

Can anybody tell me what needs to be done. What if we don't deploy reports at all?

Ok, you question is not all to clear. But when deploying reports there are several things to consider.

SSRS should be running before you start to deploy.

Try using "Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Management Shell" (comes with the install)  this loads several cmdlets and stuff in powershell making stuff work. And run this in admin mode! Saves a lot of trouble.

Check with the management utilities that your config is pointing to the right aos.

Start AX in admin mode and validate the report server settings. Try opening the AOT, selecting a report and deploying it manually.

Your config needs to have valid WCF and AOS services should be running (do a CIL compile)

I checked the reporting services are running and when i give publish command it stops and starts the services. Before starting it gives the error - HTTP -503 : Service not available. What will be consequences if we don't deploy reports.

AX will work just fine. The consequence will be that there will be no reports available.

try to create the reports DB via SQL Report Manager, If already exists, Delete the Report DBs and recreate them from the SQL Report Manager, and then try to deploy via power shell. Run Power Shell for ax as admin

Have you tried by specifying additional parameter values when publishing the reports .

    -ServicesAOSName

    -ServicesAOSWSDLPort

    -ServicesFilePath

Refer to this link having details of Publish-AXReport command

Rachit, i tried deploying 2 reports using Publish-AXReport -ReportName CustTransList, CustTransOpenPerDate and it got deployed. But when i try to deploy all reports using Publish-AXReport –ReportName *, it restarts SSRS and then it gives an error http: 503 service not available. Is there anyway i can skip restarting SSRS and deploying all reports.

I cannot say why you are facing this error but in such tricky situations it is worth to try different things. Have you tried by specifying the additional parameter values I suggested above. Are you still getting the same error even when you specify these parameters ? Can you share some screenshots.

    More things worth trying:

    -Make sure AOS is running

-Refresh configuration on your client configuration
