Level loading sales order demand

Hi everyone,

Thank you in advance for your help and advice!

This is my first post on here and new to using Dynamics Nav coming from Syspro and EFACs so trying to figure out the planning function.

I am trying to get my manufacturing business to use Nav properly.......we dont use any planning functions at the moment and plan outside of Nav.

One of the challenges I can see is that our Sales Order demand is very lumpy due to the way our customers order. For example they want 1 delivery of 4k pieces per month. But to achieve this we must build 1k pieces per week throughout the month.

How can I use Nav planning tools to achieve this production order level loading across all of our parts. I am used to having a feature where you can 'override' sales order demand and set a level loaded plan which drives the MRP?

Hope someone can point me in the right direction!

Thanks
Alex
