Incorrect rate value on Invoice And Adjustment Maintenance screen

hi there,

The user has problems with the 4 decimal places on the rate field on this screen. I think this is a calculated field (total value / hours)

For example a rate is entered as R 885.77 but when it appears on this screen it is R 885.7706. It causes problems with other totals not balancing.

I think the hotfix below may be addressing the problem.

https://support.microsoft.com/af-za/help/2674174/the-rate-value-is-incorrect-in-invoice-and-adjustment-maintenance-bi-b

Does anybody know if it would be deployed in SL 2011 (version 8.12.40821.0)

Any help would be appreciated

    Jo -

Thank you for posting this question to the forum. I looked up the link you mention and it is related to BUG 24057 - If amount is changed the rate is recalculated. If the transaction is deselected from the draft the amount is reset but the rate is not.

The bug was had a SL 7.0 SP4 HF (the link you note above), but it was officially rolled into SL 2011 FP1. SO yes, this particular bug you are asking about would have been rolled into your SL 2011 SP2 (the service pack just past FP1)

There is an outstanding BUG 19610 - Original rate field in pjlabdet causing calc problem in BI.BAM. I suspect you might be seeing. Back in SL7 or so Allocations would retain the original rate in PJLABDET.fee_rate.  This was so the rate would print properly in Invoice Print without rounding errors.   However, when BI.BAM uses this rate, it multiplies it against the qty, resulting in  the wrong amount.

This bug is still outstanding and is seen as a code defect. Meaning it will take more to fix vs. a simple fix.

    I hope this helps.
