Hello there, people!
Happy Friday, you all!
I am starting this discussion with the hopes of getting an amount of information for a project I am about to do.
I am thinking of bringing our D365BC on prem and I would like get everyone's input on this, specially on the HW/SW requirements part of it and Licensing. I am still in the very early stage of the project and the real plan is to really start from scratch. I am planning to build the BC system infra (DC, AD, SQL, BC, etc.) up to migrating the Data/DB from our SaaS environment to on prem.
I would also appreciate if you could share your logical and/or actual diagram of the implementation, if you have done this before (bringing BC SaaS to OnPrem). I am practically new in this kind of domain but I have quite a bit of experience in IT, I just wanted to plan it out well by asking all of you who had done this or had implemented an on prem deployment before, to share a little bit of your knowledge on how you did it.
I've been into this link already: docs.microsoft.com/.../features-not-implemented-on-premises and I just wanted to say, it's a good place to start but what I'm really looking for in this forum is some kind of first-hand experience coming from you.
I would really appreciate any favorable response from all you experts.
Thank you in advance!
Sincerely,
Juan
Hello,
You could opt to install D365 standard DB first into the new environment utilizing this info:
If you have the Azure bacpac file, you can restore that and point NST to that database.
Thanks.
