CRM 2013 - All Images/Icons Broken

All icons/images do not display under CRM. Am running CRM 2013 on Premises v6.1.0.581 The images do exist under E:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\_imgs and permissions on this folder look fine. Trying to browse direct to a certain image, for example crm.example.com/.../NavBarSplit.png results in a 500 - Internal server error. If I copy NavBarSplit.png in to the site root and browse crm.example.com/NavBarSplit.png it loads OK. I've tired a repair against CRM but no different. Any ideas?

Have you tried the IE browser compatibility mode? Or try to open in Chrome.

If you have any other working CRM server can you copy the folder and replace it in affected server. make sure you take the back up of the E:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\_imgs from affected server before to replace it.

    Thanks,

    Arpita

Do you have two servers and deployment in NLB..?

No, single server for CRM, SQL on another server.

    Not IFD.

Thinking it may be easier to setup new CRM server and import the data?? Struggling to find the process for doing this on CRM 2013.

Before you do anything you can also try following actions plan:-

    1) This occurs due to CSS file corruption. Try and replace the Global.css.aspx with a good one. This might be corrupt

    location: E:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\_common\styles

    E:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\help

If you don't have a working CRM 2013 anywhere I can send you this file to replace.

    2) Next, run following query in SQL MSCRM_CONFIG database

    select * from configsettings

Tell me what is present in HelpServerUrl. Make it empty if data is present.

Apart from that for setting up new server :

The process is almost same as in CRM 2011. Setup a CRM 2013 brand new server and then take the database back copy and restore it in CRM 2013 SQL Server and then from deployment manager do an import.

You can also try and uninstall and re-install of crm from the existing server too.

    Got it working

    Removed CRM & rebooted

Installed CRM & Applied Service Pack as new install, rebooted

Imported Organisation through CRM Deployment Manager

    Thanks for your help.
