When trying to qualify a lead I get an error

Hi,

I have a handful of leads that are shooting back an error when i try to qualify them. What i understand is the process flow for these leads has been completed correctly, ie, the lead was qualified, an opportunity, contact and account was created from this qualification but the lead stayed at the "open" stage.

So now when i try to qualify the lead the system is thinking this has already been qualified (see error message stating active stage is not a lead) How can I get around this to mark these leads as qualified without creating a new contact, account etc and getting passed this error.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hello,

Any chance you have tried to enter your error to google and hit enter? This is what I found once I've done this - community.dynamics.com/.../235095

RE: When trying to qualify a lead I get an error

When you move to any other stage by directly giving next stage move button without qualify the lead that current stage get active.

Now the record entity of Business Process Flow change. So now the stage is not owned by lead entity you can qualify a lead only Qualify Stage is in active else you will get the error.

Because the Qualify Stage  phase entity type is owned by Lead if it active it will allow to qualify.

Select the Qualify (first stage) and click Set Active at the right bottom of the Business Process Flow. Then you can able to qualify the lead.

Then it will qualify the lead and move to the pipeline phase as normal.
