last direct cost on item masterdata

Good evening,

I am wondering if there's a way to disable the “last direct cost” field on the item card:

I would like to avoid that BC updates it everytime I post a purchase document and, if this is not possible, if there is a way to avoid that on PO lines the price is automatically updated if this field is filled (without using price lists).
