Closing POs

Is there a way to close a PO without going through the receiving process?  We create POs for our remote facilities to keep track of how much we need to fund them for expenses, but we don't need to actually go through the steps of receiving and invoicing each one individually.  I'd like to get them off the open PO list.

If you are keeping purchase order history, voiding the purchase order (which status is new) will move the purchase order and associated details to History. If the system is not setup to keep Purchase Order History, the PO will be removed from the system

Another suggestion is to cancel all line items, in order to be able to edit the PO Status into Canceled. (You need to start with the line item being canceled in order to be able to change the PO status into Canceled)

In addition to Mahmoud's suggestions, you can also close the PO using the Edit Purchase Order window under Purchasing Transactions.
