Requirements for new model creation

I'm studying for an F&O cert exam and there is this practice question:

//

Supposedly the answer is:

//

D makes sense and I agree with it.

A seems like a funny answer because:
  1. Application Foundation is optional, is it not? It might instead be Application Platform and/or other models.
  2. If A is correct, then C is equally correct, is it not? Why does a class necessarily need to be created? You may have no need of a custom class in your new model.
Does this practice test have it wrong? Partially right, but poorly executed answers? Spot on? If spot on, I realize why Application Foundation is important, but is it really required for all new models? Moreso than Application Platform?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Community member,

    The correct answer is C D.

    So the question is telling you you need to create a new model and in this new model you need to be able to make extension of objects in model X (which is application foundation in this case)

    What you need to do is:

    1. Create a new model (not existing package)
    2. Choose model X as a referenced package to be able to make extension of elements inside this model as the question asked.( You can't make an extension of elements from a different model if you don't reference them in your new model)

    A is wrong because the question didn't say anything about classes -- the question said to make extension of objects in model X and not to make extension of a certain class.

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan
