Linking financial codes from VendInvoiceTrans

Hi,
 
I've been trying to link the financial codes which are currently held on the GeneralJourneyEntry entity to the VendInvoiceTrans table. I am building a report which shows data from the invoice journal, then includes the invoice lines and finally shows the financial codes from the accounting distributions page. How do I join these financial codes to the invoice journal data?

    Hi,
     
    You can refer to DefaultDimensionView to find the relation between the table. Relation will be VendInvoiceTrans.DefaultDimension == DefaultDimensionView.DefaultDimension.
    DefaultDimensionView is a view and not the table.

    Thanks for your response GirishS. I only have access to the raw tables but not the views. Is there a way to link VendInvoiceTrans to the DIMENSIONATTRIBUTEVALUESET or DIMENSIONATTRIBUTEVALUECOMBINATION table? I have tried linking VendInvoiceTrans.DefaultDimension to RECID on both of these tables but the financial codes don't look correct and are null for alot of rows.

    You need to link VendInvoiceTrans with DimensionAttributeValueSetItem.
    Relation will be VendInvoiceTrans.DefaultDimension == DimensionAttributeValueSetItem.DimensionAttributeValueSet.
    DimensionAttributeValueSetItem table will have DisplayValue field which will give you the default dimension.
