2001 Tax Update Round 2 and PDK

Posted on by 1,405

We use GP 10 & PDK 10 sp5

The U.S 2011 January Payroll Tax Update, Round 2 is out. It mentions in step 22 on page 13 to update PDK as well. Do I need to wait for a PDK piece before updating?

Also, where is the MicrosoftDynamicsGP-KB2477916-v10-ENU.msp?

    Hello DavidM,

The update for PDK 10.0 is coming soon but hasn't been released yet. I verified that you can go ahead and upgrade Dynamics GP 10.0 to the 2011 US Round 2 Payroll Tax Update.

Once the PDK update is made available, you will want to update PDK to the new version.

As for using PDK for timesheets, I also verified that new timesheets won't be able to be done until the new PDK patch is installed, hopefully in the next couple of days, unless the timesheet is already in Project, then it would be ok running the payroll and having it work.

The 'old' version of PDK is really only a problem if new timesheets are needed to be entered or getting over to Project, then Payroll.

The KB2477916-v10.msp file can be found here:

    Thank you.
